Activity 1: Cultural Crafting Workshop

Organize a hands-on workshop where campers can learn traditional Vietnamese crafts under the guidance of local artisans. Activities could include lantern making, silk weaving, or pottery, which are significant to Hoi An’s heritage. This workshop can also incorporate a leadership aspect by having campers collaborate in groups to design a small product line or exhibit, fostering skills in teamwork, project management, and creative thinking.

Activity 2: Village Heritage and Leadership Quest

Design a scavenger hunt that takes campers through the heart of Hoi An and its surrounding rural areas. This activity could involve visiting historical sites, interacting with local villagers, and collecting stories or items that showcase the history and culture of the area. Each task can be tied to leadership themes such as decision-making, ethical considerations, and community impact. This immersive experience would also encourage problem-solving and effective communication.

Activity 3: Community Service Project

Collaborate with a local village to engage campers in a community service project that addresses a specific need within the village. This could be anything from helping to improve local infrastructure, such as repairing a community center, to environmental efforts like organizing a cleanup of the Thu Bon River. Prior to the activity, a discussion with village elders and leaders could provide insight into the community’s history, challenges, and values, giving campers a deeper understanding of the leadership roles within traditional Vietnamese society.
