Phuket

Snuggled into one of the southernmost provinces of Thailand and surrounded by the sparkling turquoise- colored Andaman sea is Phuket, Thailand’s biggest island. Also known as ‘the Pearl of the Andaman’, this beautiful island has it all; nightlife, shopping and fabulous food (particularly seafood), but it’s the stunning coastline on Phuket and the surrounding islands that make this the premier beach destination in Thailand.
The western-side of Phuket is the island’s most popular area thanks to its wide variety of powder-white sand beaches and calm, turquoise waters. Patong, the largest beach resort has world-famous nightlife, world-class restaurants and a stunning beach. South-east Phuket is slightly more off-the-beaten track, quiet beaches can be found, as well as the island’s famous Big Buddha, one of the largest seated Buddhas in the world, which affords spectacular views from its mountain-top position. Chalong Bay in South-east Phuket is the premier island-hopping point, from where world-famous Phi Phi Island can be reached as well as many other gorgeous tropical islands featuring beautiful beaches, clear water, coral reef, limestone cliffs, caves and mangrove forests.
