Itinerary

Tour Itinerary

The Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: Ngu Hanh Son; literally "Five Elements Mountains") is a breathtaking destination in Da Nang, known for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. As you ascend the carved stone steps, you will be rewarded with stunning views and the serenity of a Buddhist pagoda perched atop the mountain. The hike offers an invigorating workout while surrounded by lush vegetation and impressive rock formations.

After enjoying the scenic vistas, we will head to the nearby stone village, where skilled local artisans create exquisite marble products. This visit provides a unique opportunity to witness the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into making these stunning pieces. Next, we will explore Am Phu Cave, renowned for its eerie underground tunnels featuring replicas of “Heaven and Hell.” As you navigate through the cave, the sounds of bats fluttering around you add a mysterious ambiance to the experience.

To wrap up our tour, we will visit Son Tra Linh Ung Pagoda. Established during the reign of King Minh Mang in the 19th century, the pagoda is steeped in legend. Locals believe it brings good fortune, with calm seas and bountiful fishing, making it a beloved site for worship and reflection.

Great service

Good excursion. Guide and driver picked us up at the exact time they said they would. Guide spoke good english and provided a lot of history and information during our trip. The tour guide also provided water bottles and wipes during our trip, which was much appreciated. Marble Mountain is fantastic, I wish we had more time to explore the many caves there. The Ling Ung pagoda was nice

Satisfied

We were pleasantly surprised. Not too long but enough time to rest if needed. Didn't feel rushed. Very peaceful and spiritual experience. So much to see in such a short distance. The views and history were so beautiful. Our Guide was # 1. Gave all the help, encouragement and information you could ask for. Felt like a friend from the first good natured smile. A great sense of humor.

Very good tour

Wear comfortable foot wear and clothing— this tour involves lots and lots of walking up/ down the marble mountain. Depending on when you travel, it’s advisable to wear some sunscreen / hat; the sun was pretty intense. Our travel guide Eric was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend him as your guide!! Oh, and bring some snacks to feed the monkeys that are at the Lady Buddha.

Good

We were picked up on time and our guide Gumg introduced herself. From the we were taken to the Linh Ung Pergoda. Great views back to DeNang and enough time th o look around the pergoda. Our guide explained the history of the pergoda and took us to several locations around so we could get great views of the pergoda. After about hour we departed for Marble mountain. Before we arrived at the mountain we visited a marble workshop where we were able to see a mason at work and purchase some marble products. Our guide then took us to the mountain showed us around and explained the history of the Buddist temple built into the mountain. We had enough time to explore the entire mountain and in each part Gumg explanined what we were seeing and the history. A really good morning tour

Perfect Half Day Expedition

We were picked up by our lovely tour guide from our hotel and taken first to Marble Mountain. First dropped off at a large store in hopes of us purchasing a creation made of marble to add to the already disappearing beauty of the mountains. Apparently 2 of them are almost gone because of all the mining. Then take up the mountain via elevator. Our tour guide did a marvelous job of explaining the history of things, offering to take our photos, as well as feeling when we were ready to move on to the next site. We had a spectacular time climbing up the cave to the top as well as visiting the temples inside the mountain. The hike was moderate/strenuous in difficulty, depending on fitness level. Following, we went to Monkey Mountain and the largest pagoda in Vietnam. The sites, temples, bonsai trees, and the large lady protector were all sensational. I really recommend coming up here. As mentioned before, our tour guide was spectacular. I wish I could remember his name so that I could give him a shout out and encourage his manager to pay him more ;). You know who you are!

Excellent half day morning tour

We were picked up at our hotel on time by our driver and guide Marble. Marble was attentive and informative during the whole tour. First we visited Monkey Mountain then followed by marble mountain. Our guide ran the tour at our pace and was very patient as my wife slowly descended the steep stairs. Would highly recommend this company and tour if you’re visiting Danag/Hoi An.

A great day and experience

The entire experience was amazing due in part to the guide that met us. An old war veteran that was full of surprises and told many stories about the past and the area. The personal experience that he shares with us was exemplary. I think his name was "Can"... but not sure. If anyone else recalls this gentleman's name please let me know. I am going back to Vietnam in 2020 and would like to look this man up.

Excellent Choice

I am writing this review to highly recommend this tour agency to anyone wanting to experience more of Da Nang. I considered the location of the attractions as I booked the half-day to Marble Mountains and the Pagoda, but I was thankful I did. The tour was comprehensive enough given its duration. The tour guide was knowledgeable and witty, and I was never had a boring moment. Ample time was given for each attraction. What took me by surprise was the service accorded prior to the pick-up. The tour guide was in close contact with me pre-tour. What an excellent choice!

Tripadvisor review: Half-day Marble Mountains And Son Tra Peninsula Exploration It was a half-day tour, but good quality throughout. Anh Nhẫn was a charming tour guide; very relatable. He was very considerate, even about things like the timing; making sure we had a relaxing experience. The tour itself provided a glimpse into the development of the area and culture and included many stunning views (though it takes some physical ability, it is well worth it). It is definitely a must-see when visiting this area

We had an unforgettable experience on our tour to My Son Sanctuary, Lady Buddha, and Marble Mountain. The places were absolutely stunning! I loved this tour because everything was perfectly organized — they were very punctual, flexible with photo stops, and gave us enough time to explore each location. Our tour guide Abby was amazing — very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, as was our van driver. I 100% recommend this tour! When I return with my whole family, I’ll definitely do it again.

To kick off the tour, me and my partner were met by our tour guide Vinh, who arrived early at our hotel (I appreciate punctuality 🙂). We then made a stop at another hotel to collect more passengers before making our way into Danang. We were provided with ice cold water as the day was hot 🥵. The journey into Danang was a pleasant one. Vinh was very knowledgable and was able to speak on the history of the country and the areas we passed through. He also provided a breakdown of what the day entailed. Linh Ung Pagoda Our first stop was the Linh Ung Pagoda which was mind blowing! We were dropped off near the rear entrance and Vinh took us through a beautiful river passage which offered stunning views to take pictures and appreciate the scenery. From there we made our way through the Bhudda Temple (with the Sleeping Bhudda) and then onto the pagoda. We were allowed enough time to take pictures with Vinh taking some great shots! 📸 On to the Lady Bhudda. Standing at 67m tall, it really was a spectacular view! Marble Mountain Next, we stopped off at a marble shop to see how the marble statues and sculptures are crafted, before heading onto Marble Mountain. We were allowed some time to browse the shop and buy soverneirs if needed. When we reached Marble Mountain we were given the option of taking the elevator to reach the top or to go through a different cave at the bottom. We chose the elevator. FYI - please wear comfy clothes & well gripped shoes as the marble within the caves is quite slippery and there are some tight/awkward spaces to get through!! After making it through the cave (just about!) we made our way down the mountain (ALOT OF STEPS!!) and then into another cave. (We didn’t go all the way into this cave as we were still recovering from the previous one! Lol). After overcoming more steep steps (😩😩) we finally made our way to the bottom where we were met by our driver and taken back to our hotels. Positives/Improvements Overall the tour was a great experience and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! We were allowed time to take in the magical wonders and take plenty of pics. We didn’t feel rushed. I would however, maybe suggest that some time is given for longer breaks. Although you have about a 15/20 min break during the trip from Linh Ung to Marble Mountain, it would have been nice to have some time to relax a little more between the different locations. Especially with Marble Mountain as it can be taxing on your fitness. And with the day being a hot one, it would have been nice to rest in the shade and have a nibble or two! The stop at the marble shop was ok and I would have purchased a small item, however, the staff were not that friendly and followed us around the store so we didn’t feel at ease when browsing.
