Discover Ha Long Bay, a stunning body of water spanning approximately 1,500 square kilometers in North Vietnam, with 120 kilometers of coastline in the Gulf of Tonkin. Known as the "Bay of the Descending Dragon" in the local language, Ha Long Bay is home to a dense cluster of 3,000 monolithic limestone islands, each crowned with lush jungle vegetation, rising dramatically from the ocean. Many of these islands are hollow, featuring massive caves, while others host floating villages where fishermen thrive, catching over 200 species of fish and 450 types of mollusks.
Embark on a dreamy cruise around the bay, surrounded by thousands of limestone mountains. Sail through the emerald waters, passing by notable landmarks like Cho Da (Dog Stone) and Dinh Huong Islet (Incense Burner Islet), which resembles a giant incense burner, its four pins only visible at low tide. Next, visit the Fighting-Rooster Islets and explore Thien Cung Cave (Heaven Palace Cave), renowned for its stunning stalagmites and stalactites. The approach to Thien Cung Cave is via a winding pathway, enveloped in thick jungle. Inside, you will find a dry cave with a complex structure and soaring ceilings, making it a must-see during your journey.
