Very well organised, a careful balance of guided sightseeing and free time

I had taken the 21 day tour starting Feb 3. For my experience I had received most information through email and whatsapp. However sometimes I experienced miscommunication with hotel - the Hoi An Express then did their best to fix with the hotel about my room. The tour guides selected for each country knew English well and gave their recommendations and cultural knowledge and I was very satisfied with the activities and planned itinerary. Each hotel and driver was satisfactory. For free days I would advise sometimes people have to search for the activities themselves to save money/ whether they can just get a taxi themselves and eat at an authentic restaurant. I noticed in Saigon that after the puppet show we were taken to a very touristy restaurant that the food didn't taste as authentic as hoped. But overall, this tour is great, if you are planning last minute, and you want an experience where it is mostly hassle-free, with a driver and guide, this is for you. I felt like more days in Cambodia would have been nice to see more temples/ other aspects or other city of Cambodia , and even some more time in Laos. My highlight for trip was seeing Ha Long Bay, it was nice that I could also meet other people.

"We enjoyed our journey in Southeast Asia. Transportation and hotels were good. Overall excursions were good. We didn't like floating market in Thailand. We would have enjoyed seeing temples in Bangkok better. The tour guides in Luang Prabang and Chaing Mai were very good. We also liked the tour guide on the boat in Ha Long Bay. We didn't like the restaurant after the water puppet show in Saigon. Most of the food during the trip was excellent. We will always remember our trip."

"Hi there - as requested, some feedback on our tour in November. Firstly, we were very happy and impressed that you had cancelled and rescheduled our tour twice due to COVID restrictions yet still honoured the original price. We appreciate that this must have been very costly and time consuming for you, and we are very grateful. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would definitely give it 9/10. All of the tours and guides were excellent, and we were generally very pleased with the standard of accommodation and the places we stayed given the cost of the tour - excellent value for money. it was a great way of covering a lot of ground and exploring so many places and countries in a relatively short space of time. We have come back with lots of amazing memories! If we have any issues or suggestions for improvement, these would be as follows; 1 - The only hotel that for us really wasn't up to standard was the one in Ha Noi. Whilst the room was acceptable, the location was poor and very noisy and hectic. We also believe we got food poisoning from the hotel breakfasts here. 2 - We were a little disappointed that, having requested and paid for a first class upgrade on the Bangkok - Chiang Mai train, we were unable to have this - and that we could not have a refund either. It is sadly impossible to sleep on the train, particularly in the upper berths as there is so much light! Having said that, the upgraded hotel we were given in Hoi An was really lovely, one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. It would just have been nice to have had the choice... 3 - Upon arrival and early in the tour, communication could be a bit late or completely absent regarding our meeting time for the following morning. Once I think we were told to meet in half an hour and we hadn't even got out of bed at that point! We also had to actually ask what was happening next on a couple of occasions. This definitely improved as the tour went on, though. Overall we were extremely happy with your services and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hoi An Express to anyone that asked us!
