Discover Hoi An’s countryside and its local foods by bicycle. Local foods in Hoi An are known and enjoyed by the tourists once setting foot here. In Hoi An, these cuisines are very popular and sold everywhere in all streets. Moreover, these cuisines are considered as unique symbols for the culture and introduced to every tourist. We will ride to a local restaurant for Hoi An specialty - Cao Lau. We then bike through the countryside to a Tra Que Village. You will also learn how to make special “white rose” dumpling cakes with a local family and taste your products. Continue riding to Cam Nam to enjoy the Yin and Yang food such as: Banh Dap (“cracked or smashed rice pancake”), Che Bap (“corn and coconut sweet soup”).
After lunch, we will take a boat ride to Thanh Ha Pottery Village where you will observe how the villagers making pottery products then visit Thanh Ha Terra Cotta Park Museum, where masterpiece series includes works of art of human architecture & sculpture are clearly and vividly re-appeared. Take another 30-minute boat ride to the Kim Bong Carpentry Village. Finish the tour by visiting the home of a local lantern craftsman to learn the traditional art of lantern making. Start at a coffee shop in the Market and study some Vietnamese for your own shopping at Hoi An Central Market. Visit Hoi An’s colorful market and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas all over the area. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the merchants to purchase the ingredients that you are going to use in the cooking lesson. Take a boat ride from Market to the local house, refresh yourselves with a very nice ancient town scene. The local enthusiastically demonstrate how to prepare each dish before guiding you in the preparation of your own dish. After the lesson, you will enjoy the meal you have prepared. In the afternoon, we will discover the city of Hoi An on foot. While walking through the city, we will make a few stops to visit Hoi An Museum, many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, Assembly Halls of Chinese influence; Art Craft Manufacturing Workshop and of course the must-see Japanese Covered Bridge. Head to Hue, along the North coast of Da Nang to the top of Hai Van Pass where bunkers remaining from the war can be explored. Hue is a place that offers many cultural treasures: the tombs of kings, the imperial citadel and temples. We will visit the most famous landmarks situated within Hue’s borders, such as: Imperial Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh Royal Tomb and Dong Ba Riverside Market.
In the evening, explore Hue through its cuisine. We will firstly taste Hue Specialty - "Banh Khoai" - Hue crispy pancake. Go arround to view he night life in Hue via not too busy streets to come to another restaurant for "Bun Bo Hue" - Hue beef vermicelli soup then go to a small private family restaurant for series of specialities including "Banh Bot Loc" - filtered tapioca dumplings, "Banh Beo" - literally water fern cake, "Banh Nam" - steamed shrimp rice cake, "Banh Ram It" - Sticky rice dumplings on a fried dumpling and drink iced green tea giving you a very authentic experience. After tasting most of Hue famous specialities, we will take a walk at walking area for sightseeing, walking, shopping or enjoying countless Hue specialties. Overnight in Hue.
Leave Hue for Dam Chuon lagoon is also a part of Tam Giang Cau Hai Lagoon - A new destination for tourists who have visited Hue by car. Tam Giang lagoon has various biological diversity of aquatic resources and fauna both underwater and on land. Every day a number of fish; shrimps, oysters, etc caught in the lagoon sold in local fish markets or sold to wholesalers or used for the raw material for traditional fish sauce making villages. Get on boat (sampan) and cruise on the lagoon weaving amidst the Fishing nets, Oyster Cages, Fish spawning areas, seeing how these fishermen live with their families right in these small houses on stilts right smack in the Lagoon, the mangrove eco system. These are the wonderful moments to take your photos. Floating on the water, you will have time to see the changes of time and life as well as the local life of the fishing village. An interesting to visit "Cho house" - a hut is typically five square meters in size and built of bamboo and fishermen live in them. You have a chance to take part in the game “Be a fisherman on the lagoon” (with the group up to 10 people). Back to the huts to taste some kind of local seafood. Overnight in Da Nang.
We will firstly visit the Cham Sculpture Museum which is dedicated to the period of the Champa existence and the Ho Chi Minh and Fifth Military Zone Museum.Dragon Bridge, a very unique and modern bridge, Love Lock Bridge, Ca Chep Hoa Rong Statue and Da Nang Museum with rich local history and culture, are the next stops Have lunch then visit the Marble Mountains where we will discover the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top. Then head to Son Tra Peninsula visiting Son Tra Linh Ung Pagoda with the spectacular Son Tra Quan Yin, or Goddess of Mercy statue.
In the evening, take a ride to Con Market - the largest wholesale and retail venue in the central region to enjoy either of famous Da Nang specialities such as Mi Quang - Quang style noodle, Banh Xeo - Crispy & savory Vietnamese pancakes, Bun Cha Ca - Grilled fish rice noodle, then have dessert with the unique sweet soups of Da Nang. Continue riding to Da Nang’s most famous seafood street, to find out what all the fuss is about by digging into a delicious selection of fresh shellfish dishes, which are perfectly completed by a beer. Have breakfast at the hotel and relax until the time of transfer to Da Nang International airport for your departure flight.
