We will take a four-hour ride from Ho Chi Minh City to Nam Cat Tien National Park. Check-in at our Guesthouse, refresh and have lunch at a restaurant in the forest. After lunch, we will travel by boat to Fairy Island. We can explore the park and spend time taking in the beauty of the diverse plants and wildlife here. We will also have the opportunity to visit the 400-year-old conifer tree as well as Bang Lang tree (Lagerstroemia corniculata), which is almost 300 years old. We will then enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before venturing out on an evening hike to spot nocturnal animals. Overnight at Nam Cat Tien.
Have breakfast before traveling by jeep to Crocodile Lake, home to over 200 Siamese crocs and is one of the Cat Tien National Park highlights. This includes a 5-kilometer trek through some of the most beautiful jungles Vietnam has to offer. The trek is also one of the best areas to see wildlife in the park with frequent sightings of primates, mammals, snakes, birds and insects. Head back to Ho Chi Minh City. Refresh.
In the evening, we will begin our evening with a wonderful dinner at a lovely local restaurant. After dinner, we will make our way to the theater to enjoy the Water Puppet Show. Puppets are made from light timbers, carved, polished and decorated with different colours to demonstrate the clear personalities of each character. Water puppetry is a unique Vietnamese art form performed in a large pool using the water as a stage. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Start the day with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Stretching over 250 kilometers, Cu Chi is one of the most famous and historical aspects of war in Vietnam. The tunnel system was created in 1948 to assist the Viet Minh as they fought the French for independence and became legendary during the 1960s in playing a vital role in the Vietnam War by allowing the Viet Cong (communist guerrillas) to control large rural areas, just 65 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh City. This system of tunnels consists of hospitals, rooms, kitchens, store areas, and working rooms underground. This tunnel was excavated in the area with clay mixing with laterite. So this tunnel is rather durable and stable. The air is transferred to the tunnels through ventilation holes.
In the afternoon, we will visit some of the other major attractions in Ho Chi Minh City: War Remnants, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. These buildings are considered as the symbols of Ho Chi Minh City because of their architecture and historical meanings. We also will visit Thien Hau Pagoda in Cho Lon - a Chinese-style temple located on Nguyen Trai Street in Cho Lon (China Town). Free in the evening for shopping. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Have breakfast at the hotel and relax until the time of transfer to Tan Son Nhat International airport for your departure flight.
