Known as the ‘adrenalin capital’ of Southern Vietnam, this beachside town has a sublime stretch of beach which is the best in the country for Kite surfing and Windsurfing and is also a popular Surfing spot. You don’t have to be so active of course, Mui Ne is the perfect place to just kick back and relax on the beach with an optional beer or cocktail while you soak up the view. This laid-back beachside town is famous for its giant red and white colored sand dunes. Adrenalin junkies come to these parts to ‘sand-surf’ down the dunes or to hop on a Quad Bike and bounce over the soft sand. Another popular activity is jumping on a Jeep Tour of the dunes, which are particularly beautiful at sunrise and sunset. Also of interest is Fairy Stream, an enchanting oasis formed by a mountain-water stream that weaves through the dunes and leads to intriguing sand and rock formations.
Not unusually for a surfer’s paradise, Mui Ne is home to an enticing selection of seafood restaurants and a good selection of laid-back beachside bars, as well as a couple of late-night dance clubs.
